Goals:

  • Build a video extension to our sound booth to: enhance the functionality of our video
    camera system and new computers, give us increased space, and organize the video and
    computer technology we have in a more visually pleasing way
  • Improve even further the integration of music and video into our services
  • Add an additional video camera to capture a different point of view in the sanctuary and
    increase the efficiency of capturing the more dynamic elements of our services
  • Develop the means to support more musical instruments and vocalists to be used to enhance
    our worship, possibly even to support Praise Worship
  • Assist with the creation and uploading of content for the website
  • Install and support the items needed to provide Live Webcasting of our services
    as they happen

How To Get Involved With Media Ministry:

  • Train to doing such things as run the soundboard, operate the video camera system
    (works like a video game), do sound checks, rove with microphones to get people’s
    testimonies, and so much more
  • Once trained, let your name stand once a month or once a quarter for one of our three
    key roles, Audio Lead, Video Lead, or Computer Lead for a particular service or event
  • Help us during our workdays and with maintenance tasks
  • Help us run the audio visual items for major events and holidays
  • Offer to run the lights for a service or event
  • Volunteer to upload content to the website for the Media Ministry and the congregation

Key Areas of Need:

  • Orchestrators: More well-trained people to rotate quarterly to fill our Audio, Video,
    and Computer roles for each Sunday
  • Operators: More people to support auxiliary events such as workshops, after church classes,
    youth events, and meetings
  • Producers: People to produce DVDs and podcasts
  • Loaders: People to upload content to the website (MM experience or training not required)

Most of us meet in the sanctuary at the sound booth every Sunday between 9 and 9:30AM.
Some of us also stay after church most Sundays producing the video elements of our podcast
and DVD archive discs.
